Mayor delighted as new venue opens doors

-

A glamorous new hotel has opened in Bath city centre.

The Hampton by Hilton in Avon Street boasts 202 rooms across seven floors, as well as a bar, restaurant, 24-hour fitness centre and offers free hot breakfast for guests.

Mayor of Bath June Player cut a ribbon to officially open the hotel and said she was “delighted” to see a new business in the city centre.

She said: “It is my delight and pleasure to be doing this. I’m sure it’s going to be a real, real success. It’s a very brave venture but I’m sure you will all do really well.

“This is a Hampton hotel by Hilton and I do like your word ‘Hamptonality,’ I read that and really liked it. So, without any more ado, let me

declare the hotel officially open.”

The lounge is modern and colourful with plush sofas and beautiful light fixtures. The designers have also given it a personal feel, for Bath, by hanging pictures of the city’s most famous sites around the breakfast room.

The location puts the hotel within walking distance of Bath’s parks, museums, and historic sites - making it ideal for guests who want to experience everything the

beautiful Georgian city has to offer.

Angela Humble, the hotel’s general manager, said: “We are excited to welcome guests to the opening of this beautiful new hotel. Hampton by Hilton Bath City is set to impress with its modern design, prime location, and excellent amenities.

“We are so proud to open such a wonderful space in the heart of this historic city, ready for visitors from all over the world to experience.”
