Get motoring for tickets as show returns
Bath’s Festival of Motoring is returning after an absence of two years due to the pandemic.
The event will take place at Walcot Rugby Fields, opposite the Lansdown Park and Ride, during Father’s Day weekend - on Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19.
“Everyone involved in the Festival of Motoring is really excited to be back,” said Rotary President Simon Spalding. “It’s a great fun occasion, perfect for anyone who loves the excitement, engineering and style of motoring old or new.”
The family-friendly event will feature over 500 classic vehicles, as well as the latest sizzling supercars which will be offering rides in exchange for a donation to sponsored local charities this year, Nova Sports and Dorothy House.
A special feature at the event will be a focus on the latest electric and other alternative fuel vehicles.
The festival will feature an extensive programme of parades, exhibitions, demonstrations and super car rides, alongside competitions, live music and family activities.
Every year, the organisers offer up to 30-minute rides in a range of high-powered supercars.
Vehicles vary from year to year, but visitors have previously enjoyed rides in an Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lotus Evora and Porsche Carrera.
Fresh food, drinks and refreshments are available throughout the weekend from local suppliers and caterers to enable the whole family to make it a grand day out.
“It will be a good way to give Dad a special treat for Father’s Day,” said Mr Spalding.
