New cider pub will have its own press

-

The blueprints have been revealed for an innovative pub soon to be opened in The Paragon, and it will have a cider press inside.

The Bath Cider House at 7 Bladud Buildings, formerly known as The Nest and recently a music venue with DJS and live music on a pit stage, will not be the first cider pub in Bath.

Only 300 yards down Lansdown Road from the muchmissed Beehive with its unmistakable fragrance of scrumpy, you might say that the Bath Cider House’s owners, the City Pub Group, have chosen exactly the right spot for the city’s first cider venue with its own press.

According to the company, which also runs sister venue the Bath Brew House, it will be creating its own onsite unique fermentations.

The Bath Cider House will be the first of its kind in Bath, open late and serving food until midnight.

The former Nest nightclub is being transformed into a latenight bar with an array of classic keg ciders, farmhouse boxed ciders and their own ‘brews.’

According to the owners, monster 14in square pizzas will be served from their kitchen throughout the day and evening inside or out on their partially covered outside terrace, looking over the Bath skyline.

To entertain, there will be background beats, DJS, live sport, comedy nights and pub quizzes.

“We’re creating the perfect venue .. all that it’s missing is you,” said a spokesperson for the company.

Former regulars of the Beehive will enjoy one thing, they will not have to stomp 300m up the steep Lansdown Road!
