Claim about Boris just jaw dropping

-

I do wonder what colour the sky is on the planet where Kevin Hill lives (letters 28th July).

The jaw dropping claim that Boris Johnson is one of our greatest Prime Ministers beggars belief - he is barely the best one so far since Theresa May!

His Brexit disaster still haunts us and is far from done. Ask the people of Northern Ireland, Kent, the fishermen and the farmers. His only policy was to complain loudly when we are treated as the non-eu member we have become.

Remember he promised we could have all the advantages of membership and still leave, that was nonsense we know but people like Mr Hill believed the lies. True inflation is widespread, but Brexit has made it worse in Britain than elsewhere.

Speaking of lies - he has just lost his job for the fourth time for lying - twice as a journalist and once as Foreign secretary and PM.

He lied about his breaking of his own Covid rules, he lied to the Queen about the illegal attempt to prorogue Parliament and Mr Hill thinks he is great!

One has to wonder about the moral compass of not only him but the Tory party membership.

Johnson’s disastrous management of the Covid crisis (remember he was absent from several Cobra meetings when action was required) left us ill-prepared and behind the curve.

His posturing on the Ukraine crisis was lauded by the right-wing press while other countries acted in unison.

It contrasts with his conduct as Foreign Secretary when he repeatedly denied Ukraine the weapons we now send with great boasting.

Mr Hill is clearly worried by Keir Starmer, an honest and clever man.

A bit dull but we have had enough of ‘personalities’ who talk much and say little of sense.

But he is impressed by the dangerous right-winger Truss, and Sunak who is not far behind.

Ah! I get it now - Mr Hill was being satirical - I do apologise Mr Hill, good one, very amusing.
