Apply same rules to all users of roads
Rachael Hushon’s view (“There’s room for us all on city’s roads” Opinion, August 18) is shared by many, including myself, but even so what all road users are demanding is legislation from the government that puts all motorised vehicles on our roads under the same legal requirements.
This would mean that all motorised vehicles, e-scooters, e-bikes, scooters, motorbikes, vans, cars and trucks will have a registration number plate and be fully insured.
At present motorised e-scooters and e-bikes cause great concern to registered highway users because they do not comply with the above listed legal requirements. They are also using our highways and not paying any tax to do so.
Additionally, with regard to Voi in Bath, their connections with Russian finances is politically deplorable.
