Butterflies capture the imagination
A Bath shopping centre has been celebrating World Photography Day by showcasing its customers’ best photos.
Southgate Bath has shared five of its favourite shots from visitors to its summer art installation.
Made from 190 brightly coloured butterflies, this year’s overhead exhibition provides the perfect photo opportunity while helping to raise money for local charity Trauma Breakthrough.
The installation also includes a living selfie wall with giant butterfly wings and two large floral butterfly planters.
Guy Henderson, director of the shopping centre, said: “This year’s summer installation has been one of our most popular yet – and not only does it look good, but it’s helping to do good too.
“The butterfly floral sculptures have been fitted with QR codes,” he said.
“Make sure to come and see it for yourself – we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we’ve loved seeing everyone’s photos so far!”
Visitors are encouraged to take photos and share them with @ Southgatebath on Facebook and @ southgate_bath on Instagram, using the hashtag #Summeratsouthgate.
