Bus drivers need fair wages and respect
I don’t live in Bath but I was interested to read your article on the shortage of drivers on local bus services.
I spent two years driving the 20a and 20c, which I enjoyed.
The passengers in general were great, apart from a few. I gave up because of that few that think it’s OK to abuse the driver.
Passengers demanded a Sunday service; this was provided, but the first Sunday it ran I took less than £5.
The answer is pay the drivers a decent wage and ask the public to respect the drivers, who are only doing a job.
