Loach to speak at rally calling for pay action
Local film director Ken Loach will be joining trade unionists, climate activists and local campaign groups at a rally and march on Saturday (October 1) in central Bath.
The ‘Enough is Enough’ rally is being held on the same day that several unions will be on strike nationally including rail and postal workers in Bath. The rally will be joining the picket line in front of Bath Spa train station after gathering at Orange Grove by the Abbey at 12.15pm
Enough is Enough is a campaigning organisation founded by trade unions and community organisations. The rally is calling for a real pay rise, slashing energy bills, ending food poverty, better housing and higher taxes on the rich.
Mr Loach (inset), who will be speaking on the picket line, will talk about how we can make the political changes that rail workers and others need to improve their lives.
