Pussycat Doll Kimberly to guest star in new Friendsical
Two special guests are set to appear in Friendsical at the Theatre Royal Bath when the comedy musical – inspired by the hugely popular TV show Friends – visits the city from Tuesday, October 11 to Saturday, October 15.
Best known as a member of dynamic pop band The Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly Wyatt, pictured, joins the Friendsical cast in Bath on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, performing in musical number ‘Richard’s Moustache’ and making special cameo appearances throughout the show. Kimberly has also delighted British audiences on screen as a judge for the Sky 1 series Got to Dance and was winner of the 2015 series of Celebrity Masterchef.
She said: “I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be a special guest for Friendsical. Friends is an iconic and timeless show which I now have the pleasure to be a part of! I’ve watched the show for many years (who hasn’t) so this is a great joy for me.”
Jay Mcguiness joins the cast at Bath’s Theatre Royal on Friday and Saturday. Best known for being a member of acclaimed pop band The Wanted, Jay was winner of the 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing, and also won the first series of Celebrity Hunted in 2017.
He said: “I literally laughed out loud reading the Friendsical script, so I can’t wait to join the cast and get in front of an audience.”
The characters Ross, Rachel, Joey, Monica, Chandler and Phoebe have been on our television screens for nearly 30 years and Friendsical, written and directed by Miranda Larson (The Night Pirates, Christmasaurus, Cartoon Network Live), crams all 10 seasons and 236 episodes into a stage show brimming with nostalgic fun.
