Wrong attitude to bus passengers

-

I read with interest Terry Chivers’ letter (Letters, September 22) where he states over the past decade over 5,000 bus routes have been lost in the UK.

Mr Chivers also states the Government provided emergency funding during the pandemic which, if it is not extended, will make life very difficult for those dependent on public transport.

Not everyone is in a position to be able to drive, either due to financial or health reasons. There should not be an attitude of “you made your bed now lie in it” directed at those who are reliant on public transport.
