Festive ice rink returning to park for its 10th year next month

-

Bath on Ice will return for its tenth year this Christmas, with a 1,000 square metre ice rink for people to enjoy. It has become a popular festive activity over the last decade, with many people combining it with a visit to the city’s famous market.

The ice rink will be located in Royal Victoria Park, not far from the iconic Royal Crescent and just a short walk from the Christmas market, and it will come with lights and festive music. There will also be a Mogul Alpine Bar and a Christmas photo booth.

Those who are not so keen on skating can instead have a go at

Glow Golf - a luminous and festive mini golf course. Glow-in-the-dark balls will allow what is typically a day-time activity to be played at night.

If you are already excited to get your skates on, you have just over a

month to wait. The rink will be open from November 12 to January 3, 2023. Until December 12, it will be open 11.45-22.00 on weekdays and 10.30-22.00 on weekends. But from December 12 onwards it will be open from 10.30 every day.

If you are hoping to combine your ice skating with a trip to the famous Bath Christmas market, you may want to hold on a little longer. The market will return on November 24 and will run until December 11.

The market will only run for 17 nights, eight days shorter than was expected. It comes after last year’s market was scaled back due to a lack of security staff, reportedly caused by a combination of the effects of Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit.

Bath on Ice will be located at the Royal Pavilion, Royal Victoria Park. For tickets, visit bathonice.co.uk/
