PLANT OF THE WEEK

-

Arum italicum italian lords And ladies

You might have spotted this in your local woodlands. In summer all that is visible is a spike of bright orange berries sticking out from the soil.

But in autumn the handsome arrow shaped leaves appear. There’s a marbled variety called ‘Marmoratum’ which has creamy white veins. An excellent ground cover for winter – plant in sun or partial shade in moist or well drained soil.
