Bath Half superbly organised, as ever

My family and I took part in the Family Fun Run and Bath Half Marathon last weekend.

Both of these events were, yet again, successfully arranged and organised by Mr A Taylor and the team at Running-high.

It didn’t all work perfectly because of a forced change of route and start venue and no doubt lessons will be learned for next year in how things can be improved.

I would like to congratulate and thank Mr Taylor and his team for their professionalism, general helpfulness, friendly attitude and above all the encouragement and support to those of us slogging round 13 miles of Baths tarmac.

Organising an event of this magnitude is extremely difficult and the fact that Mr Taylor managed to do so in the face of some extreme difficulties is testament to his character and determination not to let people down.

There are a lot of individuals, who have jumped on the abuse bandwagon against him, who should know better and if they can’t be supportive should stay off social media and be quiet.

Mr Taylor and his team have decades of experience in organising

this event and it would be better for all concerned if those who have no idea just let him get on with his job and stop pointlessly interfering.
