Students offered £2 match entry and happy hour

-

It’s Bath City’s annual Student Day this Saturday.

All students with ID and under18s can gain entry to Bath City vs Cheshunt at Twerton Park for just £2.

An added incentive is Happy Hour in the bars with pints of Carlsberg, Gem and Thatchers Gold for just £2 a pint up to 2pm.

Last year Student Day on October 23 attracted City’s fourth biggest crowd of the season (1,292 vs St Albans), introducing 100s of Bath-based students to football at Twerton Park. Volunteers have been busy promoting the game at Freshers’ Fairs and there’s even a University of Bath Supporters Society now boasting 97 members.

Other than the match, there will be a cheerleader display before kick-off and a crossbar challenge between Bath Spa and University of Bath students at half-time.

Advanced tickets are available via bathcityfc.com.

The club’s other annual paywhat-you-want Community Day will take place on Saturday, December 3 when Welling United are the visitors.

This is another key date in the calendar which often produces one of Bath’s biggest crowds of the season and where everyone can get to enjoy a City match for whatever they want to pay. Last year’s event saw 1,272 witness a 2-1 win over Concord Rangers in November.

The club have thanked Statsbomb for their support for all community fixtures this season including Student Day, Community Day, Family Day and Women at the Game.

In other fixture news, Bath City will travel to Nailsea & Tickenham United in the Somerset Premier Cup 2nd Round on Wednesday 16 November (KO 7.30pm).

It is Nailsea’s first ever Somerset Premier Cup tie having only formed in 2015. They compete four divisions below the Romans in Western League Division One and include goalkeeper Jason Mellor in their ranks having joined them after 129 appearances in nearly three years for City.
