CAIN is already suspicious about Chas following her fallout with Aaron, and it seems his worst fears have been confirmed when he discovers his sister has a burner phone filled with a string of romantic messages from an unknown number.
However, he’s in for an even bigger shock when he calls the number in question and Al answers.
Fuming, Cain uses the phone to trick Al into turning up for what he thinks is an assignation with Chas, but instead is a meeting with her shotgunyielding brother. In Cain’s defence, he only meant to use the gun to scare Al, but when they get into a scuffle, it ends up going off anyway... Harriet’s funeral arrives and promises to be a pretty emotional occasion, not least because Alex is threatening to take Clemmie away if Billy and Dawn don’t give him the dead woman’s money. So, Kim and Will kidnap Alex and take him off to Home Farm for some aggressive negotiations. Meanwhile, Dan questions how Harriet really felt about him, so Will tries to comfort him with a little white lie.
