1 Minority report Saturday, Channel 4, 11.50pm

Leading man Tom Cruise and director Steven Spielberg prove to be a blockbusti­ng combinatio­n in this stylish sci-fi thriller. In 2054, cop John Anderton (Cruise) heads up Washington DC’S ‘pre-crime’ division, arresting people before they have a chance to offend based on the prediction­s of three psychics, known as pre-cogs. He ends up with more than just his career on the line when one of the pre-cogs predicts that Anderton himself is going to commit a murder. Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton, pictured with Cruise, head the supporting cast.

2 Baby Driver Sunday, Great! movies, 9pm

Director Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver is a highoctane crime caper which gleefully burns rubber to a toe-tapping soundtrack. Ansel Elgort plays Baby, who suffers from tinnitus. To drown out the ringing, he listens to music at a deafening volume, so he can focus on his duties as a getaway driver for criminal mastermind Doc (Kevin Spacey).

3 the Favourite Monday, Film4, 9pm

Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) is removed from the machinatio­ns of government, allowing her secret lover Sarah Churchill (Rachel Weisz) to effectivel­y control 18th-century Britain. While Sarah has the monarch’s ear, Robert Harley (Nicholas Hoult) challenges her authority from his seat of power in Westminste­r.

4 the amazing Spider-man tuesday, itv, 11.15pm

Andrew Garfield takes on the role of geeky teen Peter Parker, who is bitten by a tainted arachnid, and gains special powers. Meanwhile, Rhys Ifans co-stars as the scientist who befriends Parker, only to then undergo a transforma­tion of his own into the villainous Lizard. Emma Stone also co-stars as love interest Gwen Stacy.

5 Le Mans ’66 Wednesday, Film4, 9pm

Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) is persuaded that the key to revitalisi­ng his brand is to make Ford sexy. He orders his racing division to build a car capable of humiliatin­g Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans race. Designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) accepts the challenge and approaches Ken Miles (Christian Bale) to take the wheel of the Ford GT40.

6 My OLD Lady thursday, BBC4, 10.40pm

Mathias Gold (Kevin Kline) abandons New York in financial dire straits, bound for the French capital where he intends to sell an apartment he has just inherited from his father. Wandering from room to room, Mathias is shocked to find 92-year-old Mathilde Girard (Maggie Smith) living there with her daughter Chloe (Kristin Scott Thomas).

7 Godzilla Friday, Channel 5, 11.15pm

A mine in the Philippine jungle collapses, exposing the remains of two seemingly fossilised and highly radioactiv­e creatures. One of the monsters hatches and runs amok and, despite the best efforts of Dr Ishiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe), its mate also escapes confinemen­t. Godzilla is a bombastic resurrecti­on of cinema’s iconic reptile.
