Is ‘Prime Minister’ the best name?

-

Is it not time we stopped referring to the occupant of No 10 as Prime Minister?

The dictionary defines ‘prime’ as ‘of the best possible quality, excellent,’ and ‘of first importance, main, most suitable.’

We haven’t had a Prime Minister worthy of the title since Margaret Thatcher, who was stabbed in the back and forced to resign by her own ministers in 1990.

Can we not simply refer to the occupant of 10 Downing Street as Head of Government – until such time as we manage to produce a politician worthy of having the title PM resurrected?
