We should be proud of our NHS carers

I was most interested to read Barry Maurice’s letter concerning his wife Joan’s care in the RUH following a fall at home.

I have a pensioner friend who, last week, suffered a fall at home where she broke her hip and femur.

From A&E to the ward where she is being treated, the level of care she has received is excellent.

However, this lady is not happy with various arrangements.

I have myself been a patient in the RUH and have found them very caring and understanding.

As Mr Maurice says, we should be proud of the NHS and our excellent hospitals and give three cheers for them.
