Win for Kathy and Jayne

Bath Golf Club’s ladies played in a fourball betterball Stableford in breezy conditions last week. The winners, on 32 points, were Kathy Ogden & Jayne Hopkins, three points clear of Louise Blake & Alison Gardener, with Angela Frith & Honor Jones third on 28.

Last Saturday, the men also played a fourball betterball Stableford. Despite the blustery, wet conditions, scoring was good, with the winners Michael Dempsey & Kevin O’gorman scoring an excellent 42 points. They edged out Mark Edwards & Jeremy Norris on countback, while Steve Francis & Keith Lunt were third on 41.

The Captain’s Prize, the main men’s summer singles knockout competition, was recently completed, with the winner Haiqing Jiang beating Paul Selley in a hardfought final.
