Young people tackle mystery in game drama

-

Part game, part theatrical experience, the genre-defying Innocentville is being staged at The Egg.

The performance by award-winning theatre maker and Egg associate artist James Baldwin takes place on Saturday (November 19).

Workshop participants will be welcomed to Innocentville, where an incident has occurred. They must decide who is innocent and who is not. Part animated audio drama, part game, part theatrical experience, part escape room, part story making project, audiences will be invited to develop and apply their drama, creative writing and graphic novel skills.

Participants will leave the session with their own Innocentville game plus access to an exclusive app, where they can submit stories and graphic designs after playing at home with friends and family, with the most creative entries winning a prize.

James said: “We made this project to let young people have the opportunity to tell the story, build characters, and imagine, all while piecing together a mystery.”

Recommended for 13 years and over, tickets are on sale on 01225 448844, 01225 823 409 and online at www.theatreroyal.org.uk/whatson.
