Shirts auction to help appeal
Bath Rugby is offering fans around the world the unique opportunity to bid on the Blue, Black & White players’ worn and signed poppy shirts from their huge last-minute win against Leicester Tigers.
All shirts were placed on auction at kick-off via matchwornshirt. co.uk/poppy with the proceeds raised going to the Royal British Legion. The auction runs out in three days’ time (November 29) and so far over £7,000 has been raised. Ollie Lawrence’s shirt currently has the highest bid at £600, with shirts from Arthur Cordwell, Johannes Jonker, Josh Bayliss, Wesley White, Niall Annett and Tom Ellis all currently available for under £150.
Each year, Premier League and EFL football clubs auction their shirts to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal. Bath Rugby are the first Premiership club to join this annual tradition making each of their players shirts available to fans around the world.
