Concert honours memory of mental health worker

-

A fundraising event is being held this month in memory of a mental health practitioner who died in 2017 aged only 34.

Bernie’s Vision is a charitable trust set up in memory of Bathbased psychotherapist, former rugby coach and Bath Abbey chorister Mark Bernard (pictured), who dedicated his life to young people’s mental health.

A cognitive behavioural therapist and an accredited instructor in mental health first aid training, Mark was diagnosed with terminal melanoma in November 2016 and died the following year.

The trust continues his vital work by supporting underfunded front-line counselling services. The trust is organising a concert with Sam Brookes, Pete Josef and members of the John Martin project at St Matt’s Church in Bath. Money raised at Bernie’s Christmas Vision will be used to help people who need counselling and to support those who are affected by mental health issues. Concert tickets are £15 for adults and £5 for children from https://buytickets.at/berniesvisionsomersetcommunityfoundation/770178
