Shortage could be chance for refugees

In view of the recent cuts to bus services, apparently due to a lack of bus drivers, would it not be possible to recruit and train some of the Afghan refugees, currently stuck in hotels (at great expense to the taxpayer) and unable to work?

Although they are probably well qualified for other jobs, I am sure many of them would be only too happy to work as bus drivers, if accommodation could be found for them and their families in the area.

Not only would it solve the current shortage of drivers, but it would enable the refugees to have a better quality of life and start contributing to the economy.
