Foot­prints shed light on an­cient child­hoods

Foot­prints found at the an­cient site of Melka Kun­ture in Ethiopia in­di­cate that chil­dren as young as one ac­com­pa­nied adults on hunt­ing trips. The c700,000year- old foot­prints, pre­served by vol­canic ash, were found with stone tools and the butchered re­mains of a hippo.
