In the so-called De­fen­es­tra­tion of Prague, a rad­i­cal group of Bo­hemian Protes­tant no­bles throw two coun­cil­lors and a sec­re­tary out of the win­dow of Prague Cas­tle. They are de­nounced as rebels by the rul­ing Catholic Hab­s­burgs. Both sides be­gin arm­ing.
