P The crossword competitio­n is open to all residents of the UK ( inc Channel Islands), aged 18 or over, except Immediate Media Company Bristol Limited employees or contractor­s, and anyone connected with the competitio­n or their direct family members. By entering, participan­ts agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and that their name and county may be released if they win. Only one entry permitted per person.

P The closing date and time is as shown under How to Enter, above. Entries received after that will not be considered. Entries cannot be returned. Entrants must supply full name, address and daytime phone number. Immediate Media Company ( publishers of BBC History Magazine) will not publish your personal details or provide them to anyone without permission. P The winning entrants will be the first correct entries drawn at random after the closing time. The prize and number of winners will be as shown on the Crossword page. There is no cash alternativ­e and the prize will not be transferab­le. Immediate Media Company Bristol Limited’s decision is final and no correspond­ence relating to the competitio­n will be entered into. The winners will be notified by post within 20 days of the close of the competitio­n. The name and county of residence of the winners will be published in the magazine within two months of the closing date. If the winner is unable to be contacted within one month of the closing date, Immediate Media Company Bristol Limited reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up.
