Original Wolf Hall unearthed in Wiltshire
A team of archaeologists and historians have found the remains of the original Wolf Hall, the 16th-century family home of Henry VIII’s third wife, Jane Seymour. The discovery was made in the grounds of the much later Wolf Hall Manor in Burbage, Wiltshire. The exact location of the first ‘Wulfhall’, which fell into ruin within 40 years of being built and was demolished, has not been proven until now. A network of Tudor brick sewers is among the discoveries at the site.
