Hawtin Mundy

Twice wounded on the western front, Hawtin was cap­tured in 1917 and saw out the rest of the con­flict as a Ger­man pris­oner. Af­ter the ar­mistice, he re­turned to the Wolver­ton rail­way works, and was com­mis­sioned in the Home Guard dur­ing the Sec­ond World War. He died in 1982.
