Capella Cracoviensis
The Polish vocal ensemble and orchestra perform repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to early Romantic operas on period instruments
Capella Cracoviensis performs at many important festivals and concerts halls, including the Bachfest Leipzig, Opéra Royal Versailles, Theater an der Wien and the Misteria Paschalia Festival in Krakow. Its recordings have included Pergolesi’s Adriano
in Siria and Porpora’s Germanico in Germania (Decca Classics) plus Te Deums by Lully and Charpentier, and Bach Motets (Alpha). Capella Cracoviensis has staged the following operas: Amadigi di Gaula, The Marriage of Figaro, Orfeo ed Euridice, as well as Monteverdi’s madrigals performed in a milk bar and
A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by children with visual impairments. In 2016, Capella Cracoviensis performed all Beethoven’s symphonies in one day.
