Simon Wallfisch (b1982)

When you come from a musical family like the Wallfisches, it’s hardly surprising you might have more than one string to your bow. Indeed, Simon Wallfisch studied both cello and singing at the Royal College of Music. It’s the latter, though, for which he is in demand. A passion for German lieder led him to continue studies in Berlin and Leipzig and today he is establishing himself as an operatic leading man and talented recitalist. A keen activist, Simon is also involved in ongoing work to preserve works by musicians and composers exiled or murdered during the Second World War.
