Little Britten looks set to get a seaside view

At first glance, we feared this was one of those awkward moments where someone had misread feet for inches but everyone decided to put a brave face on it and carry on. In fact, the above photo shows the working model (or maquette) of Britten As A Boy, a statue that, it is hoped, will one day grace the seafront in Lowesto , the Su olk town where the composer (pictured, le , as a young lad) was born in 1913.
