The Empress Piano Concerto and Dafnis Prieto’s Tentación. But the highlight for me was a full orchestral version of Julius Eastman’s Femenine. For 67 minutes, one sat in the outdoor hillside concert venue mesmerised by the minimalistic repetition of a vibraphone playing the main motif with other instruments joining in and then fading away. It was captivating!
