Critical critters
The Grant Museum of Zoology at University College London (UCL) has created The Museum of Ordinary Animals exhibition to tell the stories of ‘boring beasts’ that have changed the world. Despite having a profound impact on the lives of humans, and on nature, these commonplace animals are rarely represented in natural history museum displays. Exhibits on show include a wall of 4000 mice skeletons, Egyptian cat mummies and what may be the world’s oldest veterinary text.
