LITTLE FIND, BIG REWARD

I went on a day trip with a friend to Harrison, British Columbia, at the end of March. The new growth forest is prime habitat for northern pygmy owls and we heard one calling nearby. After scanning a small open area with our binoculars we spotted it. Eventually, the bird moved closer to us and clung to a small alder tree. I was able to take a few pictures before it flew off.
