Two 14-month-old sib­lings cool off at a wa­ter­ing hole. The to­tal Ben­gal tiger sub­species pop­u­la­tion is es­ti­mated at fewer than 2,500 and most are found in In­dia. The En­dan­gered mam­mals are threat­ened by poach­ing, habi­tat loss and con­flict with hu­mans.
