Faster flying, agile species – such as the serotine, noctule ( pictured) and Leisler’s and the soprano, common and Nathusius’ pipistrell­es – can often be seen diving and chasing insect prey around white and green lighting, but their navigation, life-cycle and natural behaviour may still be compromise­d.
