Faster fly­ing, ag­ile species – such as the sero­tine, noc­tule ( pic­tured) and Leisler’s and the so­prano, com­mon and Nathu­sius’ pip­istrelles – can of­ten be seen div­ing and chas­ing in­sect prey around white and green light­ing, but their nav­i­ga­tion, life-cy­cle and nat­u­ral be­hav­iour may still be com­pro­mised.
