At just 15cm long, the pygmy marmoset is the world’s smallest monkey. Newborn babies weigh about 14g and are no bigger than your thumb. They are not rare – they’re widely spread throughout

Amazonia South America, and their preferred habitat is the region’s flooded forests. Visitors to Iquitos, in northern Peru, can see them when the river is high between February and May.
