NURTURING NATURE

Liz Earle Beauty works hard to minimise its environmental impact, while also actively improving and supporting the land it loves so much

When we take care of our world, it takes care of us. That’s why results-driven skincare brand Liz Earle Beauty is committed to growing responsibly. For more than 25 years, the brand’s gentle yet effective skincare has combined the power of botanicals with the scientific know-how of the company’s in-house experts. Each product is formulated with naturally active ingredients to deliver results for all ages and skin types. But with nature at its heart, Liz Earle Beauty is also taking mindful steps to minimise the impact it has on the environment too – starting with its HQ, The Green House, on the Isle of Wight. Along with installing a living wall and botanical house (which grows crops that are used in the on-site restaurant), the company is going one step further to protect the land and wildlife around its home by rewilding two hectares of the neglected woodland that lies behind the building. Already, more than 800 hazel trees have been planted and the woodland is now home to multiple threatened native species, including red squirrels (numbers in the UK have fallen dramatically), hedgehogs and several species of bat. It also has plans to rewild part of the lawned area at the rear of The Green House in the spring to encourage the growth of native wildflowers and grasses. This will attract more insects, including pollinators, and further support biodiversity in the local area. It means the place can continue to be a thriving source of inspiration for Liz Earle Beauty and future generations, too.
