STARRY, STARRY NIGHT
The Milky Way shines bright across the heavens above Broadhaven beach in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, creating a silhouette of the iconic spire of Church Rock. On clear days you may spot wild swimmers in wetsuits splashing towards it or tiny climbers clinging to its limestone crags. The loveliest way to walk to this wonderful beach is through the National Trust’s Stackpole estate from the tiny village of Bosherston. The path ambles through Stackpole’s 100 acres of lily ponds, criss-crossed with wooden boardwalks and home to inquisitive swans, and then suddenly opens up in a sweeping vista of pale sand and cerulean sea.
