BIRMINGHAM AND FAZELEY CANAL
Be a lock keeper at Curdley. Help with maintenance, meeting the public and assisting boaters through the locks. LEEDS AND LIVERPOOL CANAL Volunteer as a crew member on George, a restored wooden short boat, now a floating visitor centre at the National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port.
MONTGOMERY CANAL
A group meets in Welshpool in north-central Wales every Thursday to maintain vegetation, collect litter or repair boundaries. They operate from Mantis, a boat they have restored. UPPER PEAK FOREST CANAL This action group meet in all weathers to repair the Disley towpath and restore the wash wall. They are aiming to make the towpath more accessible for wheelchair users. KENNET AND AVON CANAL Join the restoration team at the Claverton Pumping Station, Bath. Work varies from mechanical engineering on the water wheel to administration or being a guide on open days.
MONMOUTHSHIRE AND BRECON CANAL
Help make the canal navigable again from its current terminus at Five Lochs Cwmbran, to Newport. Work includes restoration of the Ty
GRANTHAM CANAL
