£64k salary for se­nior PPS role

A SE­NIOR pros­e­cu­tor role is avail­able at the Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tion Ser­vice for North­ern Ire­land (PPS).

The role, with a salary of up to £63,979, will see the can­di­date work across the PPS’ of­fices in Belfast, Derry, Newry and Omagh.

The PPS, which has a bud­get of £32m for the year 2018/19, is seek­ing a can­di­date who is a bar­ris­ter or so­lic­i­tor and who is en­ti­tled to prac­tise ei­ther at the Bar of North­ern Ire­land or as a So­lic­i­tor of the Court of Ju­di­ca­ture of North­ern Ire­land. The can­di­date must have at least three years post-qual­i­fi­ca­tion ex­pe­ri­ence of crim­i­nal law, prac­tice and pro­ce­dure, gained within the last six years.

In other ar­eas of the Civil Ser- vice, var­i­ous de­part­ments are seek­ing can­di­dates for roles in­clud­ing health and safety in­spec­tor at HSENI head­quar­ters in Belfast, a sci­en­tific of­fice at NIEA and a youth con­fer­ence co­or­di­na­tor at the Youth Jus­tice Agency.

In ed­u­ca­tion, Ul­ster Univer­sity has se­nior posts with start­ing salaries of up to £60,000.

These in­clude a head of global on­line ed­u­ca­tion de­vel­op­ment and se­nior project man­ager of travel and trans­port.

Else­where, the In­te­grated Col­lege in Dun­gan­non is search­ing for a dou­ble award science teacher, a his­tory teacher and a phys­i­cal ed­u­ca­tion teacher with gen­eral sub­jects.

Sul­li­van Up­per is also seek­ing a vice prin­ci­pal.
