Luxury Cavan resort given £2m upgrade
THE owners of a four-star estate and spa in Co Cavan have finished the latest £2m phase of improvements.
SCIF Hotels Limited Partnership, which has owned Cavan’s Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort for the last two years, has now opened a new 135-seater restaurant, the Cedar Rooms.
And the company said it will also open a new golf clubhouse in December.
The Cedar Rooms restaurant is in an historic stone building attached to the main hotel, which has now been restored and adapted for use.
The restaurant has been designed by award-winning Irish architects and interior designers Cantrell & Crowley, which previously worked on Dublin hotels The Shelbourne and The Merrion.
This new building phase has been carried out by contractors Adston Construction, based in Belturbet, Co Cavan.
The new golf clubhouse, located next to the 18th green, has been designed with a contemporary form using traditional materials.
SCIF said it had spent €6m in the hotel and grounds since its acquisition, spending €2.35m in the latest phase.
