First Trust is now a JAM Card-friendly bank

FIRST Trust Bank has be­come a JAM Card-friendly or­gan­i­sa­tion af­ter staff com­pleted train­ing to sup­port cus­tomers with learn­ing dif­fi­cul­ties and com­mu­ni­ca­tion bar­ri­ers.

The Just A Minute (JAM) Card pro­vides users with a non-ver­bal, dis­creet way of ask­ing for a minute of pa­tience when they need it.

JAM Card hold­ers can show their card or app in any First Trust Bank branch if they need any ad­di­tional help.

The card was es­tab­lished by the NOW Group, an or­gan­i­sa­tion that sup­ports peo­ple with learn­ing dif­fi­cul­ties and autism into em­ploy­ment.

There are more than 12,000 JAM Cards users in North­ern Ire­land. First Trust is un­der­stood to be the first bank to be recog­nised as Jam-friendly.
