Golf Hold­ings is the hold­ing com­pany for a group of busi­nesses in the hospi­tal­ity sec­tor. It’s best-known for Wine Inns, which owns pubs and restau­rants such as south Belfast’s Chelsea Wine Bar, and off-li­cence chain Wine­mark, which is made up of 84 stores around the prov­ince. The group also in­cludes whole­sale wine com­pany James E Mccabe. Philip Russell Ltd - a whole­sale and re­tail dis­trib­u­tor of wines, spir­its, drinks and pet food prod­ucts — is an­other sub­sidiary.

Golf Hold­ings is also be­hind the Russell’s Food and Drink chain of con­ve­nience stores.

Wine Inns’ Belfast bars also in­clude The Doyen, for­merly the King’s Head, Al­ibi, Cut­ters, The Par­lour, the Four Winds and Robin­sons. The Eglan­tine on Univer­sity Road was put on the mar­ket this year for £1.4m.
