One of North­ern Ire­land’s best known fam­ily firms, Harry Corry was es­tab­lished by the late Harry Corry, who set up shops in 1971 af­ter ini­tially start­ing life in the mar­kets in Belfast Harry Corry busi­ness op­er­ates 50 shops across the is­land of Ire­land and Scotland, spe­cial­is­ing in soft fur­nish­ings and fur­ni­ture.

In the last three years the var­i­ous out­lets have en­joyed a steady an­nual in­crease in turnover.

Last year turnover in­creased by just un­der 6%, fol­low­ing an in­crease of over 7% a year ear­lier. The as­sess­ment of the di­rec­tors is that the busi­ness has en­joyed in­creased foot­fall and in­creased bas­ket size per cus­tomer.

Sales rev­enue has also in­creased in euro sales which were partly en­cour­aged by cur­rency fluc­tu­a­tions be­tween the euro and ster­ling.
