West­land, which has around 600 staff, is a spe­cial­ist gar­den sup­plies com­pany which owns seed brand Un­wins and wild bird feed ranges Peck­ish, Na­ture’s Feast and Buck­tons. In the most re­cent of a se­ries of ac­qui­si­tions, the Dun­gan­non com­pany bought Peterborou­gh firm the Gard­man Group out of ad­min­is­tra­tion.

Gard­man Group sells bird care prod­ucts and gar­den hard­ware. West­land has bought all its trad­ing as­sets, stock and brands, which in­clude Cole and Bright, Grow It, Moul­ton Mill and Gard­man Wild bird care.

West­land also bought Lin­colnshire fer­tis­lise com­pany Wil­liam Sin­clair in 2015, and Cran­swick Pet Prod­ucts in 2012.
