Couple to spend night before ceremony 15 miles apart

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry will spend the night before their wedding in separate country house hotels.

The American star will be with her mother Doria Ragland at the Cliveden House Hotel, on the National Trust’s Cliveden Estate in Taplow, Berkshire.

Harry will be 15 miles away at the Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park in Ascot, close to the Guards Polo Club, with his best man the Duke of Cambridge.

With just days to go until the royal wedding on Saturday, the palace also announced the couple’s first official engagement as a married couple.

Three days after they wed, the prince and his new bride will honour the Prince of Wales by attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

The event — The Prince of Wales’s 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration — will see Ms Markle attend her first ever royal garden party in the grounds of the Queen’s London residence. Harry and Ms Markle will join Charles and Camilla at the event on May 22.
