Trio arrested over hit-and-run on teenager are released on bail
THREE people arrested in connection with an horrific hit-and-run in north Belfast have been released on bail.
A teenager was seriously injured after being knocked down by a grey Vauxhall Zafira in the Oldpark Road and Ardoyne Avenue area during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Eamonn Marley was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his leg injuries. He is now recovering at his Belfast home.
His mother Theresa said the teenager could have been killed.
A 30-year-old woman arrested by officers investigating the hitand-run was yesterday released pending further enquiries.
Hours later two men aged 20 and 25 arrested by officers were also released on bail pending further enquiries.
Mrs Marley shared shocking footage of the incident captured on video, moments before the teenager was hit.
It shows the car being driven erratically at a group of youths, some of whom were forced to jump over railings to escape.
Mrs Marley also posted graphic images of the injuries her son sustained.
