Munnis thrilled to kick off Armoy’s

club and racing fans alike.

President of the Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club, William Munnis, commented: “I was very proud to see so many people come together to get the celebratio­ns under way.

“We have created a family in the biking community, both locally and nationally, throughout the years and the gala dinner was a great opportunit­y to get together and celebrate the world that is road racing.

“Speaking to those who attended the dinner, a fantastic night was enjoyed by all.”

Born from an initial idea by the locals in 2007, the Armoy Road Races has continued to grow from strength to strength, now positionin­g itself as one of the biggest national road races in Ireland, welcoming an increasing number of spectators from around the globe each year.

Munnis continued: “The fact that our Bayview Hotel Race of Legends is not only the youngest but the best national road race in Ireland demonstrat­es how far the club has come in just 10 years.
