Deliveroo to wheel out NI expansion

- BY MARGARET CANNING

FAST-FOOD delivery service Deliveroo is expanding into three new locations in Northern Ireland, it’s been claimed.

East Antrim DUP MP Sammy Wilson said he has met the company in London to hear about its plans.

He said it will expand into Bangor, Lisburn and Londonderry. Its fleet of self-employed cyclists already operate in Belfast.

Mr Wilson said: “I am pleased that NI has been targeted for expansion and hope that the new jobs, opportunities for restaurants and service to customers will be a boost to our economy.”

A spokesman for Deliveroo said: “We’re currently assessing various towns across NI, but have nothing fully confirmed.”
